Revisiting the incidence and losses of the 111th line infantry Regiment of the Grande Armee during Russian campaign 1812

This article is didicated to recruiting and strength of the 111th line infantry Regiment of the Grande Armee during Russian campaign 1812. With detailed analisys of statistic materials and paperwork materials development of the regiment is displayed during 1812 campaign. All materials were found in Service historique de la Défense (S.H.D. – château de Vincennes). For the first time new sources about composition and quantity of the 111th Regiment are displayed. Everything abovestated allowed to correct traditional knowlege about this Regiment and to create a base for furute more complicated research.
