Dominant metaphorical model «MOVEMENT» in the discourse of American president Barack Obama: a technique for studying temporal dynamics

We executed the research of comparative nature on types of metaphorical modeling in a political discourse. Using cognitive-semantic analysis of the metaphors, we analysed speeches of the American politician – B. Obama during two periods: on the one hand, – the period of an election campaign and on the other – the period when Barack Obama held a position of the president of the United States of America.
