The U. S. armed forces stereotypes in the mirror of American printed media as exemplified by the metaphorical model “Military service is way / road”

This study pertains to diffusion of such phenomena as “ethnos”, “culture” and “language”. The object of scientific research focuses on the U.S. printed mass media disseminating positive social stereotypes on the U.S. Armed Forces and its service members. The subject area dwells on metaphorical images of the U.S. military as exemplified by the metaphorical model “MILITARY SERVICE is WAY / ROAD”. This article is intended for philologists and a broad audience.
