Consideration of physical bases of electrocardiography in the classes of biophysics

Yantser Liliya Vladimirovna  (assistant professor, The Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov)

Yantser Kira Evgenevna  (First Sechenov Moscow State Medical University under Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation)

The article deals with the study of the physical fundamentals of electrocardiography in biophysics classes. The author approaches the solution of the questions posed by developing the logic of the presentation of the material implying a gradual mastery of new knowledge based on the study of the fundamentals of physical processes. The article discusses the main functions of the heart, describes these functions, characterizes the electrophysiological phenomena of polarization, depolarization, repolarization. The mechanism of ion migration through the cell membrane, leading to the creation of a membrane potential, is described. The author also pays attention to the logic of the presentation of educational material, in which the modules «Essence, functions and mechanisms of electric field generation», «Basic qualitative characteristics of the electric field», «Phenomena of intensity and potential as one of the main components of the electric field», etc. are traced. the concept of an electrocardiography method and the characteristic of its didactic and methodological foundations are given.

Keywords:biophysics, electrocardiography, physical bases of processes, heart, electrical phenomena in the heart, methodological bases of biophysics.
