Analysis of the pragmatic principles of the Russian double negative structure

Double negation is a special linguistic phenomenon, closely related to denial and affirmation. The structure of double negation has its own peculiarities in semantics and pragmatics, it not only expresses underlining, strengthens the tone of speech, but also expresses euphemism and weakens the situation. Compared with a simple affirmative form, this language structure necessarily has a pragmatic function. The use of double negation in speech expression is more capable of expressing our attitude and feelings towards things and indirectly expressing the intentions of the speaker in a particular language context.
