Problems of mastering the phonetics of the Russian language for pupils of the Dagestan school

The article reveals the problems of teaching Russian in the conditions of multinational Dagestan. The presence of national-specific sounds in the Dagestan languages and their absence in the consonantism system of the studied language creates difficulties for the Dagestan students in the pronunciation of Russian words. The practical mastering of the consonant system of the Russian language by students of the Dagestan school is a complex psychophysiological process that requires the replacement of the well-established articulation-acoustic and auditory skills of the native language with completely new ones. In the opinion of the authors, teaching the system of Russian consonantism will be fruitful and will give the necessary results only with the rational use of certain methods and techniques of teaching a second language, among which a special place is occupied by the specifics of the native language.
