The image-oriented teaching of foreign languages

The conceptual thinking is undoubtedly greatly aided through the process of learning a foreign language. However, the importance of image thinking as a basis and stimulus for speech as an activity and a factor that increases students’ motivation is also emphasized. The methodology of a studies’ course teaching a second foreign language in a non-linguistic university orient attitude to create an image of the subject: of language structure, of a new subject area, a previously unknown semantic field, a foreign mentality; the attitude to facilitate conceptualizing the result of students’ speech activity.
