Criminal practice in the daily reality of the residents of the soviet city of the nep period

The subject of the research is criminal practices in the daily reality of the Soviet city of the 1920s. Using archival documents and periodicals of the NEP era, the author reveals the causes and features of a significant increase in offenses in the Soviet city, the period under review. Among the factors that provoke the widespread development of crime in the 1920s, can be called, swept the country homeless, insufficient police funding, municipal and household devastation in the cities. The author chose the city of Saratov as the object of research. The urban environment of Saratov can be considered as an ideal model of a large Soviet city of the NEP period. New archival documents and periodicals of the 1920s are introduced into scientific circulation.
