the article is devoted to the language situation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The author analyzes the problems of preservation of the Yakut language. In the conditions of General globalization, the Yakut language is changing, there is a replacement of the Yakut Russian language. In addition, the language is also "aging" - the proportion of the young generation who speak the Yakut language is significantly lower than the native language of those who have reached middle age. The Yakut language is losing its identity, losing literary quality and becomes purely conversational, more sketchy. In his speech, the Yakuts stopped using beautiful metaphors and phraseological units.
