Problems of sound material selection during teaching listening skills to Vietnamese student-philologists at the initial stage

Nowadays thousands of Vietnamese students are studying Russian as a specialty in universities. The practice of teaching shows that in the process of learning Russian as a foreign language, students-philologists have the most difficulties in learning listening skills in comparison with other types of speech activity. In this article, the author pays great attention to the problems arising in the selection of sound material during teaching listening skill to students-philologists at the initial stage in Vietnamese universities.
