Anthropomorphic and artifict metaphors in creating the Crimea’s image in the media

The article explores the theoretical basis of the media discourse notion and features of its functioning, as well as provides the analysis of the metaphorical image of the Crimea created by the mass media in Russian and English. Special attention is paid to anthropomorphic and artifact metaphors, which create a fundamentally opposite image of the considered sphere. The article explains the motives for using these or those models.
