Studying “cultural diversity” theme at foreign language lessons

Teaching supplementary education language course requires careful selection of lexical material. The authors focus on the themes connected with the person that is a creator and carrier of language and culture. From describing people’s appearance and character through the topic “National character” it is possible to turn to cultural diversity. Leaning and discussing this theme expand students’ knowledge, form tolerance to other cultures, stimulate ethnical self-identification and promote national self-awareness.
