To the question of publication activity improvement for the professor-teaching staff at the institute of Humanity and Sports, Surgut State University

The article highlights the methodology and the main results of the research concerning the question of publication activity improvement for the professor-teaching staff of the Institute of Humanity and Sports, Surgut State University. The assessment was carried out for the integrated research Institute directions (Pedagogy, Psychology, History, Linguistics, Physical Education), as well as for each department and person. It contains the review of the scientific and educational personnel resource of the Institute. The article emphasizes the influence of scientific schools, grant activity, scientific and practical conferences of different levels on the teaching staff publication activity. The shortcomings and contradictions of the existing assessment system are revealed and the ways of its correction for the next periods of work are offered. The article highlights the elimination of the existing evaluation system’s deficiencies and suggests the proposed ways of its correction for the following periods. In the framework of the Programme of the Institute of Humanity and Sport’s development for the period of 2017-2021 years, we propose the list of measures to improve the publication activity of the faculty of the Institute.
