From the National Front for National Unification: the basic directions of transformation of the discourse of the party of Marine Le Pen

The article is devoted to the description of the main directions of transformation of the National Front discourse by comparing the traditional discourse of the National Front party under the leadership of Jean-Marie Le Pen and the modern discourse of the party led by Marine Le Pen. The relevance of the study is due to the growth of nationalism and right-wing populism in modern Europe and the importance of understanding the mechanisms of nationalist and populist discourse. The study was conducted on the materials of speeches by the leaders of the National Front Marine Le Pen and her predecessor Jean-Marie Le Pen. The novelty of the study is due to the inclusion of materials for 2015-2019 in the corpus of analyzed texts. The authors of the study identified a number of characteristics of the updated National Front discourse.
