Categoricity as a form of expression: emotional-expressive sentences in Tatar and French

Modern linguistics is characterized by an increased interest in the comparative study of languages. The area of our interests is the expressive syntax of the Tatar and French languages. Along with such emotionally expressive macro-intents as: emotiveness, appraisal, interest, sincerity, pictoriality, intensity - a speaker’s special emotional state is conveyed by such macrointention as categoricalness. Categoricalness is a value that depends on communicative-pragmatic situations, mood, opinion and behavior of the interlocutor. Emotionally expressive sentences with a categorical meaning in both the Tatar and French languages express peremptory judgments and establish, though not always, unequal role relations in communication. Frankness and the resulting game categoricalness are an indispensable psychological condition for the success of genres of this type
