Color conceptualization: fear and courage in the English linguistic consciousness

Colour is an objective phenomenon of the world around us which has the ability to influence human emotions. Linguistic science offers to investigate the issue of color perception of the world in the light of linguistic facts. This article is devoted to the analysis of the colour characteristics of emotional concepts «fear» and «courage» found in the English linguistic consciousness and the identification of associative links between the colour and the emotions reflecting the mental reality of the nation.
