Functional equivalence of translation of railway terms in Chinese and Russian languages

This article is devoted to the study of translation of scientific and technical terms in the field of railway transport in Chinese and Russian languages. In this article on the basis of the theory of functional equivalence the problems of terminology equivalence, translation of technical usages and choice of semantic correspondences at translation of the corresponding technical texts on railway transport are considered. In the translation of railway technical documentation, the biggest problem of translation is the translation of technical terms. The results obtained from practical experience will be useful for further research of technical translation.
