E-learning course in a foreign language as a tool for cognitive improvement for people of “third age”

The article deals with the issues of improving the quality of life of elderly people (persons of "third age") or active pensioners through an electronic educational course in a foreign language. Course content is structured and the course main elements’ analysis is done. Training tasks are positioned as one of the varieties of cognitive training aimed at improving neuroplasticity. The authors focus on the network nature of the project, namely attract to the implementation of the of various cities’ environment: Tomsk, Moscow, Kaliningrad. The results can be used as a science-based social program for people of "third age".
