Nadezhda Durova in socio-cultural sphere of a provincial town

The article considers the reasons for the long stay of Nadezhda Andreevna Durova in the socio-cultural sphere of provincial Elabuga at the beginning of the XIX th century. The author pays special attention to the influence of the micro and macro environment on the dynamics of the inner world of a woman - a retired officer. As a result of the analysis, the author concludes that Durova consciously chose the county town of Elabuga for permanent residence, finding here a comfortable niche that does not contradict her noble mentality and the unusual status of a woman warrior
