Uniforms of prison officials in the 19th century before the introduction of departmental uniforms

The article discusses the historical features of the uniform of prison officials in the period from the 1820s to 1884, when the general departmental form has not yet been introduced. During this period, class ranks were established for various categories of posts of prison officials, and a special uniform was introduced for specific places of deprivation of liberty, but in general there was no uniformity.
