The study of universal concepts and their representation in various languages is one of the most relevant areas in modern linguistics. The concept of “family” has the greatest value for upbringing and education; its presentation in different languages gives an idea of national specificity. The sound content of the considered lexical units reflects the tendency to support lexical meaning, and also helps to explore the national specificity of the word in the language. The article also provides general information about the concept of “family” in Russian and Chinese languages and in societies that reflect different positive view of the world.
