Specificity of african migration to britain colonial era (XVI-XIX centuries.)

The history of Africans in the territory of modern Great Britain, according to archaeology, begins with the I century ad. This historical era dates from the oldest burial of people of African descent within London (founded by the Romans in 43 ad). The future capital of the British Empire was already a notable settlement, inhabited by retired soldiers, traders, sailors. The city had a fairly diverse ethnic composition, which included representatives of many peoples of the Roman Empire. Quite logical here look and traces of residence of immigrants from Africa.
