The phonetic features of the spanish language of the mexican state of Oaxaca

The article deals with the phonetic features of the Spanish language in the framework of intervariant dialectology. The investigation is based on the material of the Mexican national variant of the Spanish language and its territorial dialect of the state of Oaxaca. The choice of this dialect stems from the lack of works in Russian Spanish studies and its insufficient development in foreign Spanish studies. The analysis of phonetic discrepancies was carried out through a native speaker’s interview and the scientific literature and Internet resources research. The article concludes it is necessary to pursue the investigations of the Oaxaca dialect within the Mexican national variant of the Spanish language.
