Coloristic features of chinese painting

Confucian and Taoist ideologies had a profound influence on the ideas about the peculiarities of the color of Chinese painting. Confucianism pays special attention to the expression of subjective emotions. Taoism strives for non-existence, a complete merger with nature. The idea of the existence of five colors (yellow, red, blue, white, black) is mutually reinforcing and conceals the hidden meaning of the rich color of the painting. All these views have a profound effect on the aesthetic perception of the characteristics of color shades by students.
