Youth language in the system of diastratic variaties of the german language

The paper dwells on some sociolinguistic and functional aspects of the German youth language. Typological characteristics, modern productive ways of replenishing of vocabulary of the German youth language are described. The new modern youth Internet language (VONG-Sprache) and domains it functions in are analyzed. Some aspects of the lexicographical codification of the German youth language are also considered. The German youth language as a diastratic phenomenon is shown as an actively developing idiom.
