Periphrastic units as a fragment of the German linguistic colour world outlook

The article is devoted to the study of periphrastic word combinations with a component-coloronym in linguocolored pictures of the world of English and French languages. In the process of analysis: categorization on the structural-grammatical principle and categorization on the principle of identifying thematic groups. The material of the study was periphrastic expressions selected by continuous sampling from lexicographic sources as the most authoritative and codifying language units for the construction of competent intercultural communication and social collaboration. Selection and use of empirical material and terminological apparatus were carried out by the method of investigation of mechanisms of psychological and intellectual development, cognitive activity of the English and French Nations. The article presents the exclusivity of associative-imaginative thinking of representatives of specific language groups that form the national picture of the world of the described languages. The materials of the article can be applied in the framework of teaching courses of General linguistics, modern English and French languages, theory and practice of translation, comparative typology, lexicographic practice.
