Principles of compiling a textbook for teaching English terminology of fire safety in the oil and gas industry

the article discusses the principles of compiling a textbook on the discipline "Profiled foreign language" for students majoring in "Fire safety". The purposes and tasks of the specified discipline are emphasized. The structure of the sections of the anthology is described, examples of terminological units included in the active dictionary are given, and the scheme of the equipment is presented as a visual illustration. The tasks that develop and improve foreign language communication skills and abilities of students are considered. The importance of students ' work with the schemes of devices and mechanisms, the description of which in English develops the skills of monologue and dialogue speech, which motivates students to further study of a foreign language for professional purposes.
