Specifics of grammaticalization of nominal signs of masdar in the Rutul

The article analyzes the nominal characteristics of masdar, its orientation to the categories of number and case. It is revealed that their grammaticalization is not always identical with similar categories of names: when making plurals forms, markers typical for the name and for the verb are used at the same time. The declension of masdar in the plural is characterized by the addition of case markers to the direct basis, which is not the norm for the rutul language. The range of use of the meanings of the cases forms of masdar in the rutul language is limited.
