The specificity of N. I. Novikov’s satirical discourse (on the example of the magazine “Truten”, 1769–1770)

The article focuses on the specifics of journalistic discourse of the Russian educator, journal publisher N. I. Novikov. Based on the materials of magazine "Truten", the article analyses a satirical discourse, its functions, extra-linguistic conditions and language mechanisms, models its axiological field and conceptual sphere. N.I. Novikov’s cultural and educational discourse is considered as a realization of the political discourse in the 18th century. The article describes the stylistic methods forming the cognitive style of the educator’s satire. The discourse reveals specific compositional and stylistic techniques of Russian satire.
