The article substantiates the idea that teaching Russian pronunciation of pupils in the Dagestan national school is based on conclusions derived from a comparative typological analysis of the phonetic and phonological systems of Russian and Dagestan languages. The presence of national-specific sounds in Dagestan languages and their absence in the vocalism system of the language being studied creates difficulties for Dagestan pupils in the pronunciation of Russian words and can predict interference in Russian pronunciation for pupils as well as identify the most difficult phonetic positions and reference articulations. The main condition for practical learning of the sound system by pupils is to develop the necessary hearing from them in the perception of new sounds, their distinction from the sounds of the native language. In this regard, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the implementation of each phoneme of the Russian language in the form of specific sounds depending on the phonetic position; variety of sound connections.
