The provisions of this article determine that listening is one of the fundamental aspects of teaching a professionally oriented foreign language. Therefore, it is necessary to know and put into practice innovative methods and techniques, such as distant and contact, extensive, communicative, extensive, audio-lingual, audio-visual, etc. The authors give a wide overview of Russian and foreign methodological literature: Govorun SV, Artyushina G. G. and Sheypak O.A., Neverova N.V., Rybakova L.V., Rosta M. et al. The role of communicative activity in modern linguodidactics is highlighted. Since listening is a complex receptive-thinking process associated with perception, understanding, active processing of information, it is necessary to apply health-saving competencies. However, the authors note that this topic is not fully disclosed in a wide methodological range and is practical.
