From the history of pedagogical education in Sakhalin

The article discusses the beginning of the formation of teacher education in Sakhalin. The remoteness of the region, the special conditions for the development of education necessitated the creation of the first institutions for the training of teachers. The emergence of courses, a pedagogical college, then a pedagogical school, and, finally, the institute contributed to an increase in the number of teachers, which had a great influence on the formation of the cultural and moral values of the inhabitants of the island region.
