The structure of a verbal act of insult

The article investigates the implementation of the nominative potential of invective vocabulary based on the category of performativity/nonperformativity, in which the effect of insult is realized, the effect being created only in non-performative verbal acts of insult based on the relationship of conventionality/unconventionality between the invector and the invectum. As the study showed, in French, the invector resorts to tactics that are reflected in the syntactic constructions of simple and common sentences and is divided into monosyllabic, interjective, parceled; complicated, in which predicates are expressed by means of full verbs, complicated by epithets; complicated by determinants, formed with the help of a compound verb predicate.
