Features of language education in a non-linguistic university

Substantial analysis of educational standards (undergraduate and graduate levels) implemented in educational institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is presented. A pedagogical system of language education in a non-linguistic university is proposed. Invariant (competency-based and communicative approaches and their teaching principles supporting the verification of the goals and objectives of language learning) and variational (content, relevant methods of language teaching, monitoring of results in accordance with the implemented FSES HE) components of the pedagogical system focused on improving the level of non-native language are presented. tongue. Particular attention is paid to the problem of conceptualizing the content of language education.
