The purpose of the paper is to evaluate levels of andronocentrism in the French language by identifying concepts of "man" and " human", and levels of female forms correlation. The materials of the phraseological dictionary of the French language were studied. The analysis of phraseological units with the "homme" lexeme is carried out, the values "man" and "human" are differentiated. Gender asymmetry is most evident in the naming of people, where female forms often acquire a pejorative connotation. The male gender has a dominant role in the designation. However, there is a tendency to feminize the names of professions. In the French language, gender neologisms appear and are fixed, and the identified cases show a small degree of pejorativeness of female forms.
