Structural-semantic and national-cultural specificity of political collocations with numerative component (on the material of the english and turkish languages)

The article gives an analysis of English and Turkish collocations with a numerological component, which are part of political terminology. The main structural models of the formation of political collocations with the numeral component are identified, as well as the possible types of semantic transformations these components are exposed to. Particular attention is given to such characteristics of collocations as precedence and national specificity. The asymmetry in the presence or absence of the certain numerical components within collocations of the given languages in most cases can be explained mainly by the peculiarities of historical development and political systems of the countries.
