The study of siberian peasantry in the XIX – early XX centuries in the works of A. Makarenko

The article analyzes the scientific heritage of the famous historian and ethnographer of the Narodnik trend A. A. Makarenko, who served a political exile in the Yenisei provinceю. Its concept is revealed his concept of the Siberian peasantry through the prism of the evolution of the Narodnik worldview. It is concluded that it was pointed against the liberal-regional concept, which denied the genetic link between the culture of the Siberian peasantry and the all-Russian one. The main idea that develops in Makarenko's works is that the Siberian culture, while preserving the Russian core, represented a new integrity that was the result of syncretism with the culture of the indigenous population of Siberia.
