This article reveals the definition of sports tourism discipline "distance- hiking." In the course of the study, the current educational programs of the sports tourism are reviewed, common features are identified and dynamic changes are identified that contribute to the development of this sport in a modern, dynamically developing society. The article also highlights the main sections of the training of athletes.
