Studying political discourse: binary conceptual opposition

The article deals with the problem of identifying binary conceptual oppositions in political discourse. The study results in defining the meaningful volume of the oppositions and establishing language means actualizing the semantic content of the concepts. The pre-election political speech of D. Trump has served as the language material. When analyzing there were determined some conceptual oppositions such as "conservatism – radicalism", "patriotism – antipatriotism", "security – danger", "loyalty – betrayal", etc.
