This article raises the question of improving the effectiveness of the educational process in the field of reliability theory by introducing a new method of teaching the topic "Laws of distribution of probabilistic random variables" in mathematics classes. The relationship of reliability theory methods with the methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics is described. The method of teaching this topic is described, taking into account the professional orientation. The article shows the structure of classes on the topic "Laws of distribution of probabilistic random variables".
