Stock-breeding in the economic activity and the life support of the kazakhs of the Chui steppe in the Altai Republic

Stock-breeding activity of the Kazakh’s population of the Chui steppe in the Altai Republic is examined in this article. Natural-climatic conditions of the region are discussed which are determined the formation of the system of pasture-based stock-breeding. The methods of keeping domestic animals are investigated in the study region. It is discussed the question of the role of livestock products in life support of the Kazakhs of the Chui steppe.
