The concept and structure of secondary imperfections in russian

This article discusses the concept and structure of secondary imperfections in the Russian language. The relevance of this study is due to the fact that the results of the study reflect general theoretical questions about the laws governing the development of the Russian language system, the norms that function in the language, which can be used to supplement and edit educational literature, develop educational programs used in the process of teaching Russian to foreign students. The author notes that the most productive ways of word formation are suffix and prefix. Word-formation chains consisting of two verbs of a perfect and imperfect form form a species pair based on imperfectionation. The author pays great attention to the analysis of differences between primary and secondary imperfections, as well as the criteria on the basis of which they differ.
