Motivation of higher education in the context of studying foreign languages

This article is devoted to the problem of motivation of higher education in the field of foreign language learning. The article shows the relationship between high-quality motivation to learn foreign languages and compliance with modern requirements for successful and in-demand specialists. The article presents the results of the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature. On the example of the works of such scientists as A. Maslow, K. G. Jung, L. V. Vygotsky, G. Heckhausen, K. Levin, Zh. Nyutten, A. N. Leontiev, etc., we can see the essence of the human motivational system from the point of view of psychology, as well as teaching methods described, as well as the need to apply various methods of motivating students, for example: success motivation, country studies motivation, aesthetic motivation, etc. The need for students to have internal motivation for self-improvement in the field of foreign languages is analyzed in detail and approved. Finally, the method of teaching, which can lead to the emergence of high-quality motivation in students, is considered.
