Professional communicative competence as a goal in teaching military translator in air force institute

The article deals with the problem of professional communicative competence as a goal in teaching translator in the Air Force Institute. The structure of this type of competence is described as a unity of general professional, linguistic, discourse, sociocultural, strategic and auditory types of competence. The model of teaching military translator based on these types of competence is proposed and its composition is described.
