Metaphorical nature of riddles in english, russian and bashkir languages

Metaphoricity is a characteristic property of riddles. This is probably due to the fact that the metaphor and riddle are close in nature. The metaphor is based on the juxtaposition of two objects or phenomena. The metaphor is binomial. The purpose of this article is to study the riddle as one of the indicators of the reflection of the material world and spiritual culture, a comparative analysis of English, Bashkir and Russian riddles on the thematic principle, as well as in determining the role of the metaphor in the riddle as its genre specificity in English, Russian, Bashkir languages. The scientific novelty of this study is that riddles are analyzed on the basis of heterogeneous and genetically unrelated languages; as well as a new description of the riddles from the linguocultural positions in English, Russian and Bashkir.
