The image of Francisco Franco in the soviet media and research

The article analyzes the image of Francisco Franco from the media and scientific research during the Soviet period. The author raises the problem of the subjective analysis of Franco's figure in the Soviet period. The purpose of the article is to analyze the reasons for the negative perception of Franco in the USSR. The results of the study show that the creation of the image of Francisco Franco during the Soviet era, both in the media and in scientific research, could not be objective due to the ideological differences between Spanish and Soviet society. The uniqueness of the article is manifested in the fact that as a result of the analysis of ideas about Franco in the vastness of the USSR, the main mechanisms of the creation of historical memory are revealed.
