Brief history of the Pacific fleet of the USSR (1960-1970s)

Based on archival documents and materials of historians, the article analyzes the state and role of the Pacific Fleet in ensuring the military security of the USSR in the Asia-Pacific region. During the period under review, the fleet was completely re-equipped, ships and submarines entered combat service in the open ocean, and a group of missile submarines with ballistic missiles was created. The author concludes that the Pacific Fleet by the end of the 70s. of the last century reached its power and ensured the military security of our country in the region.
