Men's performance in folk dance. Problems, ways of solution

The article raises issues related to the activities of amateur choreographic groups. The historical and national origins of male performance in choreography are analyzed. Traditions that have formed in male choreographic performance are revealed. Possible methods of preserving the traditions of male performance in folk dance groups are considered. The necessity of increasing the male composition in amateur folk dance ensembles is substantiated.
