History as a process and time

The understanding of history as a process is substantiated. The relation of the modes of historical time: present, past and future is considered. The defining significance of historical consciousness for the history is shown. As characteristics of the historical process, the emergence of a new one, variability, irreversibility, and uncertainty are called and considered. It is proved that the representations of synergetics give a successful model of the historical process. It is shown that the postmodern approach to history leads to the destruction of historical consciousness.
