Psycholinguistic bases of teaching English language at elementary school

Knowledge of two or more languages for the current period is not only the norm, but also a necessity of modern life. In this regard, the relevance of the issue of teaching methods of this subject is increasing. The article presents the main provisions of psycholinguistics, a number of characteristics of the cognitive style that affect the way, speed and quality of assimilation of new material. The main methods of teaching English are considered. Gaming technologies are proposed to increase the quality of memorizing new information and to increase cognitive interest.
